BOB’s second edition of the Bitcoin Shark Tank brought a wave of excitement to Bangkok during Devcon week, uniting builders, investors, and Bitcoin enthusiasts for a day of pitching, collaborative discussions, and community engagement. The event highlighted the power of Bitcoin DeFi and BOB’s Hybrid Layer-2 vision in driving innovation across the ecosystem.

The Bitcoin Shark Tank gave a platform to 9 emerging projects, allowing them to pitch their ideas to a panel of top-tier investors. From DeFi solutions to NFT infrastructure, the diversity of concepts showcased the endless possibilities for Bitcoin in decentralized finance.

Who Was Involved
A Lineup Brimming With Talent
This edition of Bitcoin Shark Tank saw 9 innovative projects have 5 minutes to present their value-propositions to an audience that included over 200 VCs, investors and angels; not to mention founders and mentors as well.
The projects that presented included:
1) Stable Jack: A marketplace that allows users to collateralize their assets, and gain access to leveraged (or fixed) yield, leveraged points exposure, and long leveraged exposure to any asset without liquidation risk.
2) Coffer Network: A decentralized and programmable smart account custody solution for Bitcoin, Coffer Network allows users to securely and effortlessly manage their Bitcoin L1 and L2 assets, whilst simultaneously allowing them to earn from them.
3) Virtual Labs (VDEX): VDEX is the first omnichain perpDEX with no slippage and sustainable Bitcoin Yield, and aims to achieve centralized exchange-style UX while maintaining decentralization.
4) Blockbuilder Labs (Tapalytics): Tapalytics is a one-stop-shop platform that provides comprehensive data and analytics about Bitcoin, and with a specific focus on the TAP Protocol.
5) Zky Wallet: Self-proclaimed as the Bitcoin wallet OS, Zky Wallet provides a component library that helps devs build intuitive apps with speed, whilst allowing their users to seamlessly connect with a multitude of Bitcoin L2 apps.
6) BQ Labs: To help secure the Bitcoin ecosystem, BQ Labs has built a decentralized insurance solution that includes a risk management infrastructure layer for Bitcoin Layer 2 protocols/validators, and a decentralized insurance marketplace designed for Bitcoin holders.
7) Magnolia: Built by a team of Bitcoin and Lightning Core contributors, Magnolia seeks to capitalise on the untapped US market by providing a regulated and enterprise custody-on-demand solution for the rapidly growing Bitcoin ecosystem; as well as anything else in demand.
8) Native: Positioning itself as the first native Bitcoin application layer built on zero trust architecture, Native’s innovative BLISS Stack ensures a foundational layer for Bitcoin scaling and application development.
9) GOEMON: An intent-based advanced strategies liquidity layer, GOEMON allows users to trade without capital loss by combining bond and option trading, and unifies options liquidity from CEXs, DEXs, and MMs; whilst also providing seamless access to advanced strategies with just a few clicks.
Although there was no shortage of compelling products on display, there was ultimately only one project that could win, and Coffer Network deservedly took the crown in a tightly contested event.
