BOB has expanded access to Bitcoin DeFi by integrating BOB Stake with three key partners. BOB Stake enables 1-click BTC staking into a variety of BTC Liquid Staking Tokens (LSTs) and DeFi positions, offering new ways for people to put their BTC to work.
Through its new integrations with key partners including Pell, a leading BTC restaking network; Xverse, a leading BTC wallet; and Dynamic, a multi-chain developer tooling provider, BOB simplifies access to BTC staking. This adds to BOB’s prior integrations with leading platforms Staking Rewards and Everstake. This 5+ million user base combines the reach of these new integrations with existing partnerships like Staking Rewards and Everstake.
BTC staking opportunity
Commenting on the update, Alexei Zamyatin, Co-Founder of BOB and BitVM core contributor said: "Liquid staking has transformed Ethereum’s ecosystem, driving its $59 billion TVL. With Bitcoin’s market cap closing in on $2 trillion, there’s vast potential for staking to unlock even more, driven by innovations including BitVM.
“Bitcoin DeFi is being increasingly touted as the next frontier in crypto and BOB Stake is playing a key role in expanding the BTCFi ecosystem by simplifying staking access for everyone from Bitcoin beginners to DeFi experts, generating new opportunities for on-chain finance.”
BOB Stake, powered by Bitcoin intents
With BOB Stake, users can engage with LSTs across lending, borrowing, stablecoin, and other DeFi protocols, maximising their BTC’s potential. The process is powered by BOB Gateway, a Bitcoin intents bridge designed for seamless, BTC DeFi. By consolidating staking actions into a single BTC transaction, BOB Gateway significantly enhances the user experience. It expands the use of LSTs built on the Babylon staking layer, which includes Solv, Bedrock, Chakra, and PumpBTC, plus allows 1-click deployment into DeFi and CeFi vaults.
Three new integrations
Pell Network, the first Omnichain BTC Restaking Network, which extends BTCFi into the crypto-economic security domain, is utilising the BOB Gateway SDK, enabling users to bridge native BTC into wrapped BTC on BOB. Through a one-click interface, users can also mint and re-stake unibtc/solvbtc.bbn, gaining yield across BOB, SolvBTC, and uniBTC.
Xverse, the leading BTC wallet for Web3, is integrating with BOB to offer users an easy way to stake their BTC and track their yield-bearing tokens with their EVM BOB address through Xverse Earn. With over $220 million in total value locked and 1.3 million downloads, Xverse and BOB aim to simplify Bitcoin DeFi for its extensive user base and provide a range of staking options in the process.
Dynamic simplifies onboarding for developers and users by offering a suite of tools for wallets, authentication, multi-chain experiences, and user management. BOB Pay recently integrated with Dynamic to improve accessibility and secure sign-ups, allowing users to log in with familiar methods such as email or Telegram, as well as over 400 wallets. Now, Dynamic will also support BOB Stake’s 1-click staking integration, allowing users to connect multi-chain wallets without EVM setups.
In the coming weeks we will release more detailed blogs into each of these new BOB Stake integrations.
BOB’s Hybrid L2 model is built for Bitcoin DeFi
These integrations follow the release of BOB’s Hybrid L2 Vision Paper, outlining BOB’s role in positioning Bitcoin at the centre of DeFi. Utilising BitVM technology, BOB combines Bitcoin’s security with Ethereum’s innovation to enable trust-minimised bridging, bringing both ecosystems closer for developers and users alike.
