In December, BOB announced it would be integrating with Babylon to become a Bitcoin Secured Network (BSN), with all transactions achieving Bitcoin finality and being secured by billions of dollars of staked Bitcoin. To celebrate the milestone, BOB and Babylon ran a campaign which allocated 4.5 million extra Babylon points to active BOB community members using Babylon backed Bitcoin liquid staking tokens (LSTs) in DeFi on BOB.
The $BABY rewards from this BOB x Babylon campaign are separate to the Babylon $BABY airdrop for people who staked native BTC directly with the Babylon platform, and the $BABY rewards you can claim from each of the different LST providers. The tokens will be available to claim as an ERC-20 on BOB, once they have been provided by Babylon after today’s TGE. Eligibility checker is live now.
Claiming timeline
To make $BABY available on BOB, the Union Bridge between the Babylon Genesis chain and the BOB L2 needs to be live. The activation of the bridge is subject to a governance vote which will go live at TGE/Babylon Phase 2 launch. We have been advised that voting on the Babylon chain will take 24 hours, at which point it will be possible for Union Bridge to deploy the necessary smart contracts. Once the bridge is live, and the $BABY tokens have been bridged to the BOB network, you will be able to claim your rewards. Check your eligibility here.

$BABY DeFi on BOB
You will be able to use $BABY in DeFi on BOB, for example trading or providing liquidity on Uniswap v3 (Oku). BOB is the biggest BSN by TVL and apps, the best place for Bitcoin DeFi and will now be the premiere venue for trading and using $BABY. It will also be possible to withdraw your $BABY to the Babylon Genesis chain in the coming days.
Even if you receive $BABY rewards on the Babylon Genesis chain, for example from the main Babylon airdrop, you will still be able to take advantage of BOB’s advanced DeFi ecosystem and leading DeFi apps like Euler, Uniswap v3, Gamma and Avalon. With the integration of Union Bridge and leading Cosmos wallets Keplr and Leaf, it will be easy to bring your BABY from Babylon to BOB.
